It was a beautiful time together at Tim's House for our first week of 2024 last Wednesday and Friday! Our gathering on Wednesday was a perfect way to begin the New Year with a delicious meal from our friend Sweet Baby Ray and then gathering for a Bible Study and prayer; and Friday was also wonderful! A man joining us for the first time prayed at the end of our time together thanking God for bringing him to this place and said that he 'felt love here' from the moment he met people around our table. We all know that this is God's Ministry that only He could have orchestrated and that He brings in people by His hand and pours out His love and presence when we are together. This young man said that 'there are no other places in Chicago where he has experienced such love and family' and I believe that is because God is invited into this place. We are working to help people with housing and although there are wait lists everywhere for affordable housing and rules have changed at a couple of the places we were formerly able to financially support people in housing, we are praying and know that God will open doors for people. We have been able to help a family so that they can safely live in a small apartment - thanks to you! Thank you for all that you have given to make it possible for us to help people in so many ways and my prayer for each of you is "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him so that you will overflow with hope through the Holy Spirit"! Happy and Blessed 2024!!!
