Wow! What an absolutely wonderful day yesterday in Palatine for our Timothy's Ministry Potluck Luncheon & Worship Service! We did not have a host group and I wasn't sure how much food would come or how many volunteers or clothing, but God provided abundantly and more than I could have imagined once again! There was so much joy and fun in the room and our friends who face a lot of discouragement really loved the day together! People were able to eat as much as they wanted and took food home. There were also wonderful clothing donations and thank you all so much. One young Mom mentioned that she wanted to get nice clothes for a job interview and she found a few very nice outfits. So many stories! Someone who didn't have a warm coat found the perfect-size coat that was so warm! Our friends whom we were able to place in a hotel 10 days ago are still there for a few more days! Each person had such a huge smile on their face yesterday...working on permanent housing for each person, and praying. Thank you to everyone who has donated financially to make this possible as well as all of the other help we have been able to offer people in need. God bless each of you!!
