What a GREAT day at our Palatine Timothy's Ministry Worship & Potluck Lunch yesterday! Like many other luncheons we've had without Host Groups over the past 19 years, it began with my not knowing if we would have enough food and enough volunteers! To add to my concerns, I received 3 - 4 texts yesterday morning from people who were not able to join us and bring food due to sickness. I shared at 11 a.m. in the kitchen with the 4 volunteers who brought food (and they were practically the only ones who could help) that we need to pray because I had never seen such a low turnout. Deborah said, "You know that God always provides...every single time!" So, we prayed...and guess what happened??!!! More food came and more volunteers began to walk through the doors including 10 high school students from a Service Club who I didn't know were joining us and they said, "We can help with anything you need!!! Yaaay! It was like God multiplied the loaves and fishes as people piled their plates high and and there was enough food for to fill up take-home containers! Our friends loved the food and loved the day so much! People love getting out of the City and just experiencing the peace and joy and love that can only come from God! Everyone enjoyed the beautiful Worship Service and Pastor Ricardo shared about forgiveness, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Eph 4:32)
