A Huge thank you to Mel and Todd and their friends who hosted our Annual Timothy's Ministry Barbecue yesterday in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin! We brought our friends from Tim's House to Wisconsin on our big yellow school bus and it was an amazing day of delicious food, boat rides, swimming, and great visiting! Our friends have been looking forward to this for weeks and it was wonderful. The weather forecast yesterday morning showed a 50% chance of rain and thunderstorms, but God is so good and He truly controls the rain and clouds and sun...because the sun was shining all day without a drop of rain. People were so filled with joy all day long and commented "it's so relaxing here...I don't feel stress here...this is so great...I'm having the time of my life...I've never been on a boat before but it was even better than I imagined with the wind blowing in my face...God is so good". Everyone received a bag of take-home food with them and a McDonald's card before getting on the bus at the end of the day. People really were so happy and I know this is God's heart...so many things we may take for granted such as a barbecue, that is joy for so many of our friends. We prayed together and read from Psalm 19: "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." Just a few photos to give you a glimpse of the joy!
